The Seattle Seahawks engineered a remarkable comeback to overcome the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the postseason.

Overcoming a 30-14 deficit in the final period, the Seahawks emerged victorious by a single point at home, notching their fifth straight win.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff spot earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the postseason after a 24-month hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's race with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the fifth seed with an 11-4 standing.

Quarterback Darnold had two interceptions but regrouped to make two scoring throws, including the second TD to wideout Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a 13-7 advantage at half-time before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for the home side.

Los Angeles cornerback Wallace then returned Darnold's initial interception for a big return, setting up a short touchdown by Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a spectacular return for a score.

Darnold then connected with Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play forced the contest into an extra period.

Although Nacua raced in for his another TD in overtime, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the game-winning score.
