Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player won his first championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's initial title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from March of that year.
Success also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
His retrieving approach and regular reactions on court had led some to doubt if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first professional title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He defended 4 early chances in a tight final set before the Russian broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
