Weapon-carrying attackers have fatally shot an educator and kidnapped no fewer than 25 pupils in an attack on a girls' secondary school in north-western Nigeria, according to police.

The gang of attackers breached the comprehensive secondary school for girls in Maga, Kebbi State at approximately 04:00 local time on the beginning of the work week, officials stated.
